I recently joined the Predator Master's website and everyone says this is the place to find a "great" deal.  After a lot of feedback, I was looking at the DPMS or RRA Varmit for long range coyote shooting.  Although most shots are within 50yrds. the current rifles I use aren't overly accurate out to 300yrds. or so.

Anyway, for the best pricing/quality, I think the RRA is where I'm headed.  The best price I've found is $840 for the 20" bull barrel, which I think is great.

Not being overly familiar with AR's, should I jump on this or are there other places to get more competitive pricing.  I'd be happy to have someone build one for me who has extensive/proven experience but I'm not mechanical enough to build one.

Thanks for any advice--Jim

Suspect "Legal Transfers" here on the EE and Industry forums can beat that price.

Ask for Pete-in-NH, here at: http://www.ar15sales.com/rra.htm

May be cheaper to buy lower & upper seperate, but ask him.

Jim,
I'm an ArmaLite guy not RR.  However, Pete is the only vendor to ever answer a question for me at 10:30PM on a Sunday night !!

RRA Varminter is a great rifle.  Very reliable and easily capable of producing .5 moa.  Even better if you handload.  You won't be disappointed.  Haven't had one hiccup with mine, and probably close to 2000 rounds in it.

C4iGrant--
Your gun looks great!!!!!!  When you say accurate what are we talking outside of 100yrd?  No exagerations now.

What's your scope?  I can't wait to get one.

I have a 20" RRA from Legal Transfers.
With handloads at 200 I had three rounds touching and two low to open the group up too 1 1/4". 1/2" at 100 with the same load, even Win White box does 1 1/2" at 100.
I'm very happy with the performance of the upper and Pete (Legal Transfers)
Shot these groups on Thursday, Beautiful day with no wind and mild temps.

Another vote for ADCO.

Great prices, personal service, expert advice, the very best products, and $4 flat-rate shipping.
What more could an AR-addict ask for?

I just finished an email thread with Steve. He was very helpful and helped me decide on a barrel for my SPR. The stock Colt just isn't cutting it.

Steve must be online even more than I am.

I've never had an email go unanswered for more than an a couple of hours.  Nights, weekends, anytime.  And he's a great guy to boot.

You will be very happy with his work.  I've seen/handled some of his custom uppers, and they are amazing.  I just wish I had more $$$ to send his way!  I need more toys!
