What is the weight difference between RRA heavy profile barrel and a govt profile M4 barrel?

Can't be much.

RRA doesn't profile the barrel under the handguards, so the M4 profiled barrel is basically an HBAR with the M4 cut in front of the FSB.

Dammit, I need to read more.

I think it would probably be around .5 lbs or so.

It's half a pound.

About a 1/2 pound.
Of the 2 RRA M4geries I have, One has the correct milspec profile bbl and the other is an HBAR.
The weight difference is quite noticeable when comparing the two.
Both bbls are made by Wilson.

I have one of each. I agree it is noticeable.

Yeah I kind of regret getting it, when you start putting things on the gun it gets quite heavy.... I think I am going to have to rebarrel it. (or try selling it)

Another thing about the heavy profile RRA "M4" bbl:
Since it's not in spec, no RAS for you. No M203(lacks rear cutouts+profile for mounting launcher)
even though it has the Front cut out for you, leaving the "M4" notch strictly

big difference. The RRA has more weight which feels more solid and durable. The govt. profile is ligther, but lighter feels cheaper and weaker IMHO.

I own both barrel types but I prefer the balance and weight on the HBAR

On their Entry Tactical model and you can buy the barrel itself.

Too bad that the default option seems the heavy barrel.
