I can't decide which one I want. I know the GG&G BUIS from what I've read but the RRA Dominator looks cool. I use an EOtech 512 mounted on my M4gery, yes, I use M4 handguards.

I went through the same process a couple of months ago. I finally decided on a LaRue mount and a Troy BUIS. I am very happy with this setup.

I have the Dominator with my EoTech512 and I'm very happy with it.  It's rock solid, and I like the lower 1/3 position of the iron sights.  Basically, it's all personal preference.

I went and got a RRA Dominator today from my local dealer for $130. The mount fits great, rock solid. I put a little blue loctite on the threads of the Dominator and on the EOtech. I'll take it out tomorrow and sight it.

I am extremely happy with my Dominator using an Accucam on my 552.

I did notice something weird though, I haven't gone to the range yet but I have a question on co-witness. If I turn on the Eotech and look through the large hole on the Dominator rear sight the Eotech re dot sits atop the front sight post. If I flip the Dominator sight and use the small peep it doesn't line up with the Eotech, it's slightly to the right. When I was using my CCH BUIS  everything lined up. Like I said, I haven't gone to the range yet, maybe its nothing.

I was just looking at the RRA Dominator and wonder if it's compatible with my older style Holosight.  Mine is this style:

My concerns are the additional length of the older style holosight, and whether or not the elevation of the screen is the same between the older and newer styles.

The Dominator is a very good value if you plan on just leaving your EOtech on your AR all the time. However, if you plan to swap your optics back and forth for different applications, the Dominator isn't ideal because it's not quick to detach (in fact you should probably loctite it's screws).
I wound up going with the LaRue EOtech mount that Grant reccomends and am getting a Troy BUIS. That way I can leave the BUIS on all the time and just swap the EOtech. However, this costs over 2x what the Dominator does, so it's only worth it if you are going to be swapping.

I like the Dominator very much. Agree that if I wanted quick detach that the LaRue is the way to go. I also like that the Dominator has a built-in fixed BUIS and the BUIS is always there, no need to flip it up incase my EOTech fails.

+1 for Troy. I just got my new upper in with Troy BUIS and I must say it is a damn fine sight.
