I got a Ceiner kit a couple days ago and tried to install it in two different rifles and it was/is a TIGHT fit in both of them. Both are RRA uppers and barrels. One is a stainless 16" with a Wylde chamber and one is non-chrome lined 16" with a 5.56/NATO chamber. I am able to get the kit into place with alot of effort but to remove it I had to put a cleaning rod down the barrel and tap it back out. The charging handle was NOT going to get it out! Both rifle/chambers are "clean" but just how clean do they need to be? I know thats kind of a dumb question but I've shot a decent amount of Wolf (not laquered but polymer) and I find it hard to belive thats whats causing my problem. Thats the only other thing I can think of besides RRA being known for tight fitting parts.
Has anyone else had this problem and how'd ya fix it?
P.S. Sorry if this subject has been covered before but I couldn't find it doing a search.
Thanks

Have you oiled the conversion? My kit is snug and a little hard to get out but the charging handle will get it out. It seemed to loosen up a little with break in. Will it cycle manually? I'm wondering if you should shoot it or not.

I have used my kit in my RRA without any issues, it is a chrome lined chamber and barrel but I don't think that would have much to do with it.

Ran into this today too. Not a RRA but a JTDistributing Upper. Used a MultiTool to pry the damn thing out a couple times. Then the last time the charging handle got it out, had to use alot of force though. Maybe (hopefully) it will loosen up in time. Shot fine with Federal Bulk pack, lots of problems with Remington Bulk pack just very tight in the upper.

It fits and runs flawlessly (Minimags) in an A1 build.
Fits fine in a friends Bushmaster. But with alot of FTEs with MiniMags.

The Ciener fits fine in my RRA A4 upper. A lot of these upper receivers seem to be out of spec with regards to the rails (EOTech will be canted). The same EOTech on a genuine M1913 Picatinny rail does not sit canted. So I wouldn't be surprised if they deviated from the spec a little on the inside.

My ciener won't fit in either of my rifles with wylde chambers...

My Ciener does not get along with my PRI Gasbuster charging handle at all.  Requires a great deal of effort to remove.  It also runs better in some uppers then others.  Really likes to be well oiled.

Thanks for the replies. I did what LJ6798 said and just installed and removed the conversion repeatedly (had to gently pry it out of my upper every time) and it's just now STARTING to loosen up. Like I said once the unit is in it seems like it'll function fine (I haven't had a chance to fire it yet ) there's no binding and it seems really smooth.

I have never had  any problems but I would think anyone with some "sticking" might want to take a couple of passes with a chamber brush to see if it helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it out again today, after using the chamber brush. That might have helped a little, but still had to resort to the multitool. It worked fine, just tight as hell.
