This past Sunday evening, I took my new RRA A2-National Match to the range for sighting in. I was using XM193 55 gr. ammunition (LC 02) firing three shot strings from 100 yards using the standard iron sites. I was firing from a bench with a rest under the foregrip. This illustration shows my final group. You can cover it with a dime. http://home.comcast.net/~sablair/dimesizedgroup50.jpg

Nice for mass produced ammo! But did you try any other "match" ammo yet?

The RRA shop at Camp Perry has been busy, for the last 3 years, with competitors rifles. Now, we all know why.

I had no other ammunition available. I am just as curious to see how it performs with better "food."

I have a CLE service rifle upper. I've shot XM193, Hirt, Black Hills Match, and Hornady Match ammo through it. I've noticed almost no difference in accuracy at 200 yards. Longer ranges are another story. At 600 yards, non match ammo is all over the place, while match ammo can easily hold the black.

Thanks for the tip, Sgt. Gold. The XM193 55gr. is a little light for the twist. I am planning on obtaining a heavier load for longer distance. 62-68gr. seems about right.
