Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Questions about the Aimpoint and EOtech Magnifiers

To those of you who have handled one - do these essentially do the same thing as a BAC ACOG?  Or would you generally be removing the magnifier for any short range shots?  I ask, because it seems like they would work like a BAC setup given that you have a magnified optic with an illuminated reticule.

Secondly, any idea of what the FOV is going to be with these?
