Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question on refinishing an RRA A2 stock

I just got my new RRA A2 stock in today and its solid and nice but the stock has that sandpaper feel to it and is very grey. Is there anything i can do to get rid of that sandpaper feel. Its very porus so it wants to soak finger prints into it. Is ther anything i can do short of painting it?
