I am gonna be mounting an EOTech on my AP4 and I feel the need to mount a BUIS also. Will I run into any problems with the front sight and BUIS not lining up correctly? Will any modifications have to be made? If so, what are the recomendations?

Thanx in advance for the help!

Assuming your receiver is close to in spec, it should just be a matter of clipping it on and sightng it in.

I prefer Troy sights. YMMV.

I believe that DPMS uses non-F-Marked front sight bases, which means you may need a higher front sight post for some BUIS that are designed for the taller F-Marked (MILSPEC) FSB. If you stick with the DPMS BUIS (either their fixed unit, or the Mangonel folder) then this will not be an issue.

I wanted to go with the flip up (not of DPMS manufacture)! I was thinking about an A.R.M.S. #40. Where can I find a taller front sight post (link if ya got one)? How can I find out for sure if it is a non-F-marked FSB?

edit:  NM! I found the extended post.
