I have 2 AR's and think I might need an AK-47 in the safe. How many of you out there own at least one AK-47 along with your AR's?
Thanks for the input. |

Dude spend the extra $100 bucks and get the UN-P.C. rifle |
Not yet...
But I'd love to find a cheap ass lo-cap WASR10 to grind the hell out of... |
I have three ARs and I just bought my first AK. After all, wasn't it the Alaskan State trooper's tests that showed only the AK may work if you get it wet then take it out in 50 below conditions. I gotta have one for that don't I? I think I'll have two soon.

I've got one of each:
Colt HBAR I bought brand new back in 1991: http://images3.fotki.com/v26/photos/4/47955/278637/coltHBAR_scoped-vi.jpg Chinese AK-47S I bought brand new the day I turned 18 (1990): http://images3.fotki.com/v27/photos/4/47955/278635/AK47-vi.jpg I also have a RRA Entry Tactical on the way... so I guess I'll need to buy another AK-47 to even things out. heers, ~ Greg ~ |

I own three ARs and also three AKs.
All my AKs are '89 Poly Technologies AKS-762: 1. Sidefold with plastic stocks and AK-74 type muzzle brake 2. Sidefold with wood stocks, long metal folding stock, ventilated handguard and AK-74 type brake 3. Solid wood stocks with spike bayonet |
Twice as many ARs over AKs but you need an AK, everybody needs the face of true evil in the safe.
I own a Hungarian, but its in parts right now.
Familiarity with the weapon of our enemies is a good thing in my book... |
Yep, I own one and a SKS. I love the SKS it was my first long gun.
3 AR 1 AK |
I owned a SAR1, reliable and relatively accurate. Ergos sucked for me though, it's gone spent the money on a suppressor for the AR
Do you own an AK-47? Well... sort of.
I have an AR-15 and the missus (she's 2nd generation Romainian) has a SAR-3. |
AR and AK, along with many others. Contrary to what some seem to think, the rifles will get along just fine in your safe
I would like one, eventually. misterjg, I like the setup you have there on your AK. What kind is it and what all have you done to it, it is very nice. |
I've got a SAR1 in the safe, every once in a while I take it out and shoot a few mags. I think that the gun, while not exactly a pretty, precise, or high speed kind of design, works well and does exactly what it was designed to do.
Besides.....the Libs H-A-T-E them. |

AR's:
--------------- 1) Bushmaster 11"/5" A3 2) Armalite 16" Mid-Length (1 A2 / 1 A3) AK's or variants: --------------- 2) Arsenals (1 milled 7.62 1 stamped 5.45) 1) Bulgy AKS-74U using a Firing Line milled receiver 5.45 1) Norinco MAK-90 stamped 7.62 SKS: ---------------- 1) Russian Type 45 |

I have an LMT M4gery and a Bulgy Krink side folder which will be an SBR.

I was a believer in the "get both" philosophy even before AR15.com existed.
In the early 90's, I had two Mak-90's with extra mags for days, two drums & a case of Chinese ammo. Sold it all on consignment at a gun store a few years later. I'm beginning to think that was a mistake. They were decent rifles for the price. Today, I've made up for selling them. I replaced them with a nice Vector "classic" '47, and two '74's. I really like the 5.45 round. very controllable. Scott |

Several of each. The FAL keeps them from fighting amongst themselves.

What's this AK47 you speak of ?
Perhaps you are on the wrong website GM |
Don't have an AK...have a Mosin Nagant though
I think you should buy a nice AK (not a cheap WASR) like from Vector just to have and shoot but stick with ARs... |
3 ARs and one SKS. That will change soon, since I now have my nifty C&R FFL. An AK is definitely in my future at some time.
I have three AR and three AK, A Norinco underfolder, one SSR-56 and one custom done on a Polish Kit.
1 ak (ugly pos wasr10 that I shouldnt have purchased)
4 kits 6 sks 4 ARs I put a lot more rounds through the ARs |
I have a Rommy AK it keeps my Bushy company. you should get one also (IMHO) they're great rifles. While your at it you should get a Glock and a 1911 the package really looks nice together in display.
I have a SAR-1 and an SAR-2 that has an aftermarket trigger group and k-var furniture and some other stuff. I honestly haven't shot either of them in awhile. I'm not nuts about the sights on AKs.
