Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Question about ARMS #39 and sight picture with irons

I was thinking about adding an ARMS #39 to one of my AR's.  Currently I have a cheapie no-name gooseneck mount which, due to the thickness of the section that sits on top of the carryhandle, blocks out a good portion of the front sight.  For those that have one, how "open" is the channel of the ARMS #39 mount?  Do you still maintain a decent view of the front sights?
