I'm thinking about getting a VM/HT 9mm mag adapter. I understand that there are 3 generations out there. How can I tell which is which? Ideally, how can I identify a GenIII mag adapter?

There should be 2, the first run of 500 was done last year, got mine in late Aug.

After following the thread in the Pistol-Rimfire forum, John put a little bit more meat on the mag release paddle in the second batch made. Not aware of a "3rd generation", unless he altered the "program" so the CNC would cut the 9mm magwell the same as std Uzi SMG well, as the magblock is cut to take the std Mil contract mags (those with the folded seam on the rear), the block has not been cut to use commercial IMI mags, so you need to do a few swipes with the file in the rear corners to allow the comercial IMI mag into the block.

Refer to the Hy-Tech thread tacked to top of the Pistol-Rimfire forum.
