I'm new to building so I apologize if this is a dumb question.  I am getting ready to order a stripped PSA lower and PSA lower kit. I have found a BCM Upper I like my question is would a BCM Upper fit a PSA Lower? Or does it even matter?

Yes they will fit and that will be the case for pretty much every upper/lower config. Hope that helps!

Yes, no.

They'll fit, probably tight, but it'll loosen up with use.  The finish probably won't match perfect, but that won't affect function.  None of mine match well.

Is this what I want if I want to put on my own stock?

The one you are linking to above has a PISTOL extension which doesn't accept stocks.

What type of stock do you have?  If it is a collapsible mil spec stock  body than you should get this lower kit and just get rid of the stock body that comes with it:

You might consider the PSA complete lower, all assembled with M4 stock, just $239 shipped, it's the one I bought.

They also have ones with Magpuls stocks.  It looks to me that they are great deals.

Uppers and lowers are built to all be interchangeable. This is what leads to spending a lot of money on uppers. Then you realize you need more lowers. Its a terrible cycle

Not that having an spare stock laying around would hurt anything, but they also have regular LPK's you can buy: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/parts-kits.html

You can order one of those and then just order the stock and stock parts you want.
