Yes, I know there is a difference between Q3131 and Q3131A (US made vs Israeli made). However...

I have fired over five thousand of rounds of Q3131A through dirty and clean rifles. That ammo performs flawlessly!

I just bought a case of Q3131 and the stuff is crap! The primers are coming out of the casing after the round is fired (I had one jam in the trigger!!!! My gun was DOA until I yanked the lower completely apart...).

It is LOT RA11...

Anyone else have problems with this stuff???

You sure the Q3131 you bought is original GI and not reload/remanufactured? I shot a lot of Q3131 until it became unavailable, & never had any problems. I still have a couple of hundred rounds which is about 20 yrs old, & it still functions perfectly. When the US made got scarce I went with Q3131A because I can get it at dealer cost & I can't tell any difference between it & the US made. Loose/blown primers sounds like reloaded to me. AFAIK all the original US made Winchester had standard military crimped primers....

I got caught back in 2001 when the local store sold it for cheap before I bothered to check the ammo forum here. Had two jam in the chamber (I learn slow sometimes) Winchester first tried to lie about the 99 lots, then shut up and sent me 3131A to make up for it.

Happyshooter - Would it be reasonable to contact Winchester for replacement?
