What does the spring and safety dentent do? I just got done installing a tango down battle grip on my rifle and now I cant stop holding it....

The selector spring and the selector detent allow the selector to "click" into Safe and Fire positions instead of just freely rotating.

Without the springloaded detent, the safety selector will "float" into whatever position it wants when you fire your poodleshooter.

Not only that, but the safety/selector will simply fall out of the weapon, without the detent/spring combo to hold it in.
