Can You help me with the tri power .. I would like to order one, but at the price is it really any better than the Aim point or Eotec? I'm confused. What are the pros and cons of the tri power?

The tri-power is expensive for what you get. You can go with an aimpoint or EO tech for the same or less money. If I remeber properly the housing is made of plastic. I don,t think the housing makeup is a big deal but I think yopu money can be better spent elsewhere.

It is not made of plastic.  The housing is made of Aluminum.

I have one and I like it.

I had an EOTECH and sold it.  EOTECH did not work for me because of a bad astigmatism.

I like the reticle.  The only downside is the battery runtime is about 20 hrs, about.  No big deal if you use it during the day.  Wont need the battery then.

IMHO, the Tri-Power is the best of the red dot style sights.  I like the chevron much better than the plain dot, and EoTech reticle is just too busy for me.  As for the housing, it is as tough as they come.  The only downside to me is battery life, but I keep my batteries fresh so I dont really worry about it.

How good is the illumination at night without using batteries?  Doesn't it also use a tritium lamp (hence tri-power)?

Tripower without light or battery (relying on tritium) is lousy.  Only good with night vision.

The other issue with the tripower is that if you are in shade and the target is in sun there could be some washout unless you use the battery. Tripower batt is good for 20 hours.  Aimpoing batt is good for 30,000 hours.   if you need to use the battery, you are much better off with an Aimpoint.

+1 on shooting at a target in the sun while the sight is in the shade...too difficult to pick up and needs to be turned on.  My biggest gripe with the Tri-Power (I've had the EO Tech, Tri-Power, and two Comp M3's, 2 and a 4 MOA), is that the chevron reticle is too wide at it's base.  In other words, the angle of the chevron is too obtuse.  Imagine taking a straight line and trying to center your target where you think the mid point of the line might be.  This is a bit of an exaggeration, but it helps illustrate my point.  The tip of the reticle should be sharper.

When I tried to use the reticle for precise shots, I found it hard to get the target exactly on the point of the chevron.  The thinner chevrons of the RCO sight is a little better, but in the end I went with the Aimpoint (and an RCO also).

I also used an Aimpoint 3x device with the Tri-power and found that the chevron became ENORMOUS under the magnification (even bigger than the target most of the time).  Now I use the Comp M3 w/ 4 MOA as a stand alone sight, and the 2 MOA is for use with the 3x device.  I don't have to make sure my target is on the tip of the chevron; now I just put the dot on target and slap the trigger.

The Tri-Power is a nice idea, but I think it would have done better if it used a simple dot reticle.  Overall, it's an okay device, but it doesn't really do an outstanding job in any one area.  Too bad...

I can pick mine up quite easily in the dark.

Me too.  No problems whatsoever.

Tripower using battery power also has objective side (pretty much all sides actually) signature through NODS (also visible to naked eye without NODS if you don't use the cap). Not too relevant for most civilian shooters; but if you are headed overseas that is worth knowing.
