So, I was cleaning my SP1 the other day, and like a bonehead I put the bolt and bolt carrier back in the receiver without the firing pin. Once the bolt carrier and bolt slid forward, the bolt locked into the lugs and the cam pin rotated. Now the bolt carrier will not retract but maybe a 1/8-1/4 inch before it is frozen due to the cam pin having rotated. How do I unstick it?

Thanks for any help!!

First I would remove the upper from the lower so it will be easier to work on.
You need to get the cam pin rotated to the correct oriantation.
I would try to find a very long thin screwdriver or pick and from the back, through the hole in the BC try to rotate the cam pin.
Watch with a flash light and see if it is moving or if you are going the right way.
If you can get it lined back up maybe then you can insert the firing pin from the back of the BC and get it to unlock.

Worst case I guess you could remove the gas tube if you can get it back far enough into the upper then, take the barrel nut loose from the upper.
That 1/8 in should be enough to clear the barrel index pin and then you can rotate the barrel untill the bolt unlocks and pull the barrel out of the upper.
Then you would have a lot of room and view to work the pin untill free.

Straighten a paperclip and insert it as far as it will go into the firing pin hole in the BC.
Keep a little pressure on the paperclip (pushing it into the hole) and keep sliding the BC in and out as far as it will go.
Eventually the cam pin will rotate and align the hole, the paperclip will slide in, and you'll be able to remove the BCG.

Probably.
