Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Probably a dumb question but...

Still trying to build my AR...what exactly is a dovetail gas block?  I have a dpms oracle and trying to find some decent flip front sights...looking at GG&G gas block sights...and found one but it says for dovetail gas blocks...any light you can shed on this will be greatly appreciated..or any front flip sights you can recommend would also be great..thanks

Its for a gas block that has a built in picatinny rail on top.  The sight would clamp directly on top of the gas block.

Is that what you have?

Yea I have a rail built on to the gas block.  Thank you for clearing that up for me.
