Hey, you have to do whatever you can to get people to look.

Wow

If people can't figure out what gun porn is, they should go back to the range and get in more trigger time, and less keyboard time.

+1

Gun porn, while different than normal porn, can be just as intriguing.....

Very nice. Where did you pick up your 80% lowers, and what did you finish them with?

There's nothing I like more than porn with twins!

A nice pair.

Seriously, from 80% to that is the top of the line possession in this hobby. I wish my AR's were marked like that.

Ok I'll go ahead and ask a dumb question. What does the 80% reference mean? hinking.gif

80% means they're incomplete, there's still work left to be done on them such as drilling a few holes, threading the buffer tube hole, and applying the finish. These are not recognized by the BATF as a complete firearm (as the BATF is interested in the AR-15 lower receiver, where the serial number is stamped), so you don't have to do an FFL transfer to buy them. You'll probably need a set of drill bits to drill most of the holes, and a fixture set to make sure you get the holes in the right place. Check out cncgunsmithing.com for more information and some photos of the fixtures, bits, 80% lowers, etc. You can generally get an 80% lower for, well, about 80% the cost of a fully mfg'ed receiver. It's unlikeley your quality will match that of Colt/RRA/Bushy/DPMS/insert favorite manufacturer, but you'll have a real intimacy with your rifle because of your part in its creation.

I don't think these are quite 80% yet, but you get the idea:

you can get 80% AR15 receivers HERE

Yikes. An 80% forged receiver for $115??? I think I'd rather spend less and get a finished receiver. I know the appeal is making your own receiver, but come on.....
