This Friday I'm planing to buy a scope for my Bushmaster A2. I cant decide between the Aimpoint ML2, Eotech 552 or maybe a conventional scope. I'm using it for mostly target and some small game. (nothing more than 200 yds)

Here are my guideline:

Under $550 w/ everthing including rings and rail
Able to shoot a pop can at 50-75 yds

One more question, Is one scope better mounted on the handle than the other or are they all better with the "goose neck" rail

What would you guys do?

I like the 552. The 1MOA dot is just right for taking aimed shots at small things. I also run a Leupold VX1 when I need the magnification. You can't go wrong with both.

mr_wilson is a wise man

+1 for the ARMS 39A2 and the Aimpoint M2 or ML2. I have had this setup on my A2 for over a year now and am very happy with it.

I've had the ML2 on my bushy since July 02ish and I'm more than happy with it..

Although sometimes I want magnification so I just bought a colt lower that's going to eventually get an ACOG ontop of it
