Hi,

I bought this several years ago but not sure what I have. The ammo can they come in says "5.56 M193" ball but it has a green tip.

Please look at the pictures below. Any idea what it is worth would also be helpful.

My guess is Austrian.

Green tip may just be a way to differentiate all the different types of Austrian ammo. If you want to check to see if it is actually a steel penetrator, hold a magnet up to it.

I bought several boxes of this ammo back in the mid 1990's it's good stuff,shoots hard.

Austrian contract.

SC = Steel Core

Cases were made at NGA (New Generation Ammunition) Republic of South Africa for Hirtenberger.
