OK, whoever requested the wall mount version of the plastic AR stand,,,,Here ya go!! I worked on this one last night and once again, never cease to amaze myself. This one is termoplastic weld construction just like the others and you can use whatever type of fastner you like. Heck, it would even work good behind the seat of a truck. The gun, like you see it is 3 1/2" out from the wall, not including the flashlight.
I'm going home now. Inquiries need to go to [email protected]. Keep the ideas coming and I will do my best to come up with something. http://www.hunt101.com/img/150647.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/img/150649.JPG Have a great weekend!!! I'll be checking from home |

Is the gun far enough off the wall to be able to hit the mag release button?
Looks great |
Just turn the rifle around and mount it facing the other way...... |
Neat... maybe I should mount one to my bed frame
To answer all questions, there is plenty of room to release the mag. The mag lock is on both sides of the mount so you can put the gun on in either direction.
I can do these for $25 plus shipping (gun not included HAHA) You provide the screws and the wall |
Looks like you could install that mount vertically also and have the rifle pointing up or down. In fact if you made the mag part longer you could make it a double mount with the rifle on the othe side facing the other way.
Great idea msnow! |
That,s what I've been looking for, looks great, one question are the mounting holes pre drelled.
Hey guys, msnow (Mike ) is my co-worker and has gone home for the day but will answer your emails and posts later today.
Js15, no the holes are not predrilled. You can drill your own holes pretty much anywhere you want. |
This guy is out of control!
When's the Referigerater magnet AR stand come out? |
How about adding a hollow sleeve to the mount which would securely hold a 30 round USGI mag?
I'd love to use this for the car or home, but i'd be worried about quick access to a mag should the need arise to draw my M4gery. Just a thought. |
I loaned Mike my AK-103K to try and come up with a stand for it but the problem with the AK is the magwell isn't deep enough. He built a vise block that locked in place but it just didn't feel secure enough and if you take the bolt carrier out its worse. |

Here are a few ideas: 1) Redi-Mag 2) Ranger band a magazine to the handguard (ala Jim Crews) 3) Use one of those magazine buttstock pouches. |
You found a way into my wallet. Stop acting so damn innocent! |

Mike, it doesn't sound foolish. BUT don't forget the segment, like farmers and varmint hunters, that would like to have the weapon readily available.
I guess one could take some Velcro and mount it on the base and particular mag and have it near by. You have inbound email. |
I'm sure I will get around to doing some vehicle mounting stuff. I thought about one for behind the seat of a truck that would have a mag pocket so you would grab the gun with one hand and the mag with the other
You could actually mount it upside down and the gun would stay on

Already sent the e-mail, too bad.... I like the double mount idea, with the rifles facing each other, mounted vertically. If it will bear the weight. You are going to be making some money off of this, remember me when you are rediculously wealthy and GET A PATENT!!!!! |

Capitalism at its best! Great job msnow. What is your next big project? How about a longer version of the maintenance stand with a clear plastic cover to display your AR in and keep dust off? Something to show off an evil black rifle properly in a house with kids.

www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=187296 www.plastixplustx.com/ The guy can't sit still...aside from Plastixplus and inventing AR stands and mounts, he works a full time job (www.unitedgalvanizing.com(where I work), a volunteer fireman (probably fighting a fire right now...I'm not kidding)and an expert at Counterstrike! |

Funny you mention that. My next quest for staisfaction will come in the form of a multi gun rack to hang your AR's vertically on the closet wall, behind your clothes. How many burglars steal clothes?? They always look on the floor and the shelves, but never between clothes.

Hey Joe you forgot www.cypresscreekvfd.com

every once in a while, I see something that makes me crazy. This is one of thos things: WHY DIDN'T I think of that???
Please put your creative mind to work designing a quick access mount for a jeep. I'm one of those "varmint hunters and farmers" mentioned above. You make me proud to be a capitalist! |
I live in Texas too! Does that make me a farmer???
I guess the vehicle mounts will have to be next.
Why not make it so you can hang it AMONGST the clothes and put a hanger type setup on the top so you can put a coat or shirt OVER everything. |

That is nice! I might have to get me one. I would love to hang my AR on the wall. It would make a great conversational piece when company came over. That is if I had company and my wife would let me actually do something like that. If I lived alone I would most definitely get one and invite company over.
