OK, whoever requested the wall mount version of the plastic AR stand,,,,Here ya go!! I worked on this one last night and once again, never cease to amaze myself. This one is termoplastic weld construction just like the others and you can use whatever type of fastner you like. Heck, it would even work good behind the seat of a truck. The gun, like you see it is 3 1/2" out from the wall, not including the flashlight.

Is the gun far enough off the wall to be able to hit the mag release button?

Just turn the rifle around and mount it facing the other way......

To answer all questions, there is plenty of room to release the mag. The mag lock is on both sides of the mount so you can put the gun on in either direction.
I can do these for $25 plus shipping (gun not included HAHA) You provide the screws and the wall

Looks like you could install that mount vertically also and have the rifle pointing up or down. In fact if you made the mag part longer you could make it a double mount with the rifle on the othe side facing the other way.

Hey guys, msnow (Mike ) is my co-worker and has gone home for the day but will answer your emails and posts later today.

Js15, no the holes are not predrilled. You can drill your own holes pretty much anywhere you want.

How about adding a hollow sleeve to the mount which would securely hold a 30 round USGI mag?
I'd love to use this for the car or home, but i'd be worried about quick access to a mag should the need arise to draw my M4gery. Just a thought.

I loaned Mike my AK-103K to try and come up with a stand for it but the problem with the AK is the magwell isn't deep enough.
He built a vise block that locked in place but it just didn't feel secure enough and if you take the bolt carrier out its worse.

Did what?? AK's are a whole different ball game. The mag well is not near as deep which makes it hard to come up with applications. Heck I'm having too much fun with th AR's right now.

Here are a few ideas:
1) Redi-Mag

2) Ranger band a magazine to the handguard (ala Jim Crews)

3) Use one of those magazine buttstock pouches.

I have been trying to stick to maintenance and display. That is the whole reason for the plastic going into the mag well so you cant shoot the gun. People will sue you for anything nowadays and I am just trying to keep the plastic away from the lead.
I have seriously considered some vehicle mounts but they would be for storage only instead of quick deployment.

Mike, it doesn't sound foolish. BUT don't forget the segment, like farmers and varmint hunters, that would like to have the weapon readily available.

I guess one could take some Velcro and mount it on the base and particular mag and have it near by.

I'm sure I will get around to doing some vehicle mounting stuff. I thought about one for behind the seat of a truck that would have a mag pocket so you would grab the gun with one hand and the mag with the other

You could actually mount it upside down and the gun would stay on

Only problem is if I got a patent for everything I design, I'd be broke 10 times over!!! I hate patent laws!!
