I was looking to buy a Bushmaster A2 Gov't model...

Today I placed an order for an Smith & Wesson M&P15TS.

I haven't seen much feedback on them, can anyone tell me your experience with them?

I wanted nimble, light, compact, chrome lined 1:7 barrel.. It was perfect for me.

Any owners out there?

my dealer found 1.

He said good luck before he looked.

I wonder why they are so hard to find? SW must not be making many of them or they are a P.O.S.

If I was going to buy a factory AR I think that would be it.

They are probably tough to find because they are a oddball configuration

I looked at two at Academy last week along with a Bushmaster in Slidell, LA

They're hard to find because they're between $600-700 at gun shops.
Sure that's not the best deal in the world online, but for a moron who only buys guns at a gun shop or outfitter it's a STEAL for a factory S & W carbine.

I think you guys are confusing the TS with the Sport model.

Here's the TS, and I'd be heavily surprised if it was $700.  MSRP is $1500.

I purchased an M&P OR a few months back for $600 (budspolicesuppy.com) after the S&W $100 rebate. Best money I ever spent and probably the best deal I'll ever get on a firearm.
