Thanks, mate. No, you can cannot own grenade launchers in Finland and the unit on my AR is a non-working one. It's mady by DPMS but they have discontinued the M203 replica making. I got it merely for shits & giggles. he

sound suppressor banned here and we can own no more than 3 rifles and 3 handguns. no limits for shotgun, they doesn't count as rifle.

I am impressed by the number of Finns are AR enthusiasts. Maybe there are many more HK and SIG households, but the venerable AR15 still has its followers.

luckly, 3 per person

also some .22 rifles/pistols are considered "sport gun" so they don't conunt too

Cylinder what do you have to do to get a suppressor in Finland? Can you just walk into a store and buy it w/o permits or is it really involved?

Here is quote from finish police homepage.. how we get guns in Finland. No quantity regulations.

Permits and licences for firearms

Permits and licences for acquiring and possessing firearms and firearm components are granted by the police. Applications should be submitted to the nearest police station in person. The police may, however, allow an application to be submitted by mail or other means, subject to the requirements prescribed by law. Firearms permits and licences can also be granted to an association or foundation registered or performing a public function in Finland.

In order to acquire and possess a firearm or firearm component, the applicant must have a justifiable purpose for its use. The applicant must also fulfil the application requirements for acquisition permits.

When applying for a firearm acquisition permit, the following must be presented:

A firearm acquisition permit is valid for up to six months (except in the case of weapons collectors).
