Well, that's something we don't see every day.  What does the reticle look like?  How does it work?

It is a large black inverted post with tritium at the tip of the post.  Very easy to spot during rapid fire compared to a finer point.  Last time I had it at the range I was hitting 12" steels at 500 meters with 55 gr free handing.

ugh, ak muzzle break, rest of the rifle is great!

Ohh, that just isn't going to work.

Trust me I tried the Trilux and it doesn't belong on an AR and its 30 years out of date.

Put it on a FAL where it belongs and put an ACOG or Aimpoint on the AR.

Not only that, but the combinations of mounts will not hold a zero.

And the reticle itself will not allow consistant shot placement.

I have owned this scope for 3 years now and have never had an issue with point of impact change.

I have found that its a chin weld not a check weld but it is a repeatable spot and works fine for me.  Maybe one of these days i will get a A3 upper to lower it down but for the mean time it gets the job down with no problems.

funny........

On the serious side, that is a fine example of a Bushmaster Shorty AK reincarnate- and a great photo

Tell us about the optic

Bushmaster told me that I could remove the brake and get the barrel threaded by a local gunsmith without a major hassel.

That must be a 16" thing-the 14.5" HBAR AK barrel is threaded and blind pinned-remove the brake and screw on a flash suppressor-no threading required.

Don't quite understand what your saying here. Theres only one mount being used for the optic and its the one designed for the optic. Dont know how he could have a COMBINATION of mounts when he only has one and its designed for the setup he has it used for.

BTW:  Nice rifle... Ive always liked th Trilux... Looks neat and unique and does the job. Dont know that id have used it on a A2 model but thats your choice..

A3s were rare when I ordered this setup back in 1999.

The tritum is past its half life but in total darkness you can still see a faint red point which works just fine.

This site shows the reticle.  The Isrealis actually issued them on A2s.

very nice, not including the trilux (which is nice) I really like that carbine, just something about a basic CAR makes me happy, just need to get rid of the 74 brake

I was thinking the same thing.

Yeah! To say the least..

I played around with one and mounted it on an AR......
Then put it right back.

BTW the one I was playing with was Israeli
