Not sure where to ask this but it is a AR question-
I just saw this case at te LGS and was impressed with the compactness of this case and the latches too. Is this a new case? Anyone have one? Is there a smler Pelican case that can accommodate a collapsed stock 16inch barrel AR15?
Opinions??

This is new as of last year. It is actually a model from there puchase of Hardig. They go for about $180 to $200  w/ foam. It is backed by Pelicans warranty so hard to go wrong.
I dont own this model but do own 3 other pelican cases and have one of there Ipad cases on order.

I have this case. It's great! Very solid. I use it for my SBR, mags and suppressor.  It may be a little short for you, If you measure your length,(of the weapon) shoot me a PM and I will check my case for you. I was under $150.00 at LL Bean with no box. Display model.

The case is made by Storm, a part, division?, of Pelican.

I never knew that storm bought Hardig?...
So is this the smallest case from either company that will fit a collapsed stock ar15?

I have the IM3200 case and it's really nice. Kind of wish I had went with the 3100 due to the fact that it is a little smaller.

I like mine. I got it from LaRue with their case that fits inside it, so I don't have to mess with foam.

I wouldn't go any smaller than this for a 16", you will wish you had the extra room.  Especially if you plan on putting mags, or accessories in there.

I use this same set up.  Works great riding in the trunk of my cruiser.

Have gun will travel

I am looking for a place to get replacement foam so I can make my SCAR 17 fit with this in one case.  They do both fit at once.

The point of a great case is, I throw it into my truck then when I get to where Im shooting I throw it on the ground where Im setting up.  No worries about how its handled, just always ready to go.
