Anybody have a link to the "retro pay it forward" thread?

I used to, but just deleted it a few days ago.  Do you need something from that thread, or should we just start a new one??

It's pretty ingenius actually, depends on the generousity of the members here, but really helps to build a sense of community.

To participate, you either offer items FREE to anyone, or if you see something offered that you NEED, you quickly and POLITELY ask for it from whoever offered it.

No money, just lots of goodwill!

The ONLY caveat here is that THIS thread was started in the Retro Forum, and thus should be focused primarily on retro parts...

People post random stuff they have lying around that they aren't going to use.  You say "I want that."  Talk to them, then they send it to you.  When you receive something, you then dig through your parts and find something (or multiple somethings) to post, and keep it going.

In return I'll put up the A1 handguards that I have listed for sale in the EE.

2. Flat slipring going to MSPRet

3. USGI A1 stock screw

Not to make any requests, but if anyone has a lead on a grey trigger guard that we be of great assistance to me.

This is a "pay it forward" thread.  You should read someof the posts on the first page of this thread or a description of how it is supposed to work.  Typically it is not a matter of trading items, but offering your spares to anyone who needs them... FREE.

That said, if you want to retract your offer of the buffer, I'll certainly understand.

I'll kick in...
Here's an "early bend" gas tube. Well worn, much used, but not cracked as far as I can tell.
I shoot the S#!t out of my retros so I would rather put a new tube in mine and offer this one up to one of my retro buddies who would appreciate it for what it is.
Was pleasantly surprised when I got it in a trade...

Beel!

ETA: Post "I'll take it." and EM me your addy!
