Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Painting the roll marks?

Ok I got a mega lower and I was thinking about painting the "safe" and "Fire" roll marks. first traditionally what colors for which ones and what type of paint is best? I tried searching for this but can't locate anything. if you have any pictures would be great.

I used Testors Enamel Paint markers on mine.  Start the paint flow on the marker and then paint the rolled "fire" "safe"  red and white respectively.  Take a rag dampen with solevent or thinner and rub off excess . If ya do it right it will look perfect.  Also you can trim the tips of the markers down for easier application.

I've heard of people using Crayons. Never done it myself though.
