I got a few surplus mags from a gun show who's paint job has taken a beaten'. Has anyone repainted thier mags or Duracoated them.

1. Will the efffect the magazine or mag release if repainted?

2. Looking for some advice on repainting them. Doesn't have to be black but could use your advise

I've done it many times and the only way I can tell the mags from new is the baseplates.

I krylon only the exposed part of the mag that you can see when the mag is seated.Krylon and clearcoat.
