Can someone tell me the maker of an upper
marked: P/M ? are they any good?

I have one I bought at the show years (13?) ago... A1 with forward assist and no shell deflector. Just another upper receiver, carries my 11.5" Bushmaster heavy barrel, kinda dry black finish, shoot the crap out of mine, nothing beyond the normal polish from carrier rails riding inside.

It was manufactured by Martin-Marietta, a government sub contractor for spare uppers during the Viet Nam days. They are marked LM and PM, with the PM's supposedly made for the Phillipine government. They are well made upper receivers, but they are uppers only, I don't think they ever made any barrels.
