It goes in just like a regular charging handle. Make sure you remember how to reinstall the original one.

How did you get the old one out? The new one will go in the same way. You can just slide it in from the back because of the ears... but you already know that. Slide it in from the bottom and it will fall into the groove. This sounds pornographic!

So I did forget how I took my original one out, I think it only took about 3 minutes for me to forgot how to put it back in. Wow, this makes a new low for my firearms knowledge.
