White is a very limited color for most locales.

I'd Moly Resin or Gunkote your rifle, then spraypaint whatever parts you want white. Then when the season changes, you can strip the spraypaint off, and (if you want) respray for the new conditions. The moly resin/gunkote will resist most any solvent.
