I need some suggestions of vendors, makes and prices for 6.8 SPC project.  Haven't completely decided on 16 or 18 inch but definitely want mid or rifle length gas system.  Already have a 12 inch Larue forend and most other components.  I will not have a standard front sight base (If I have a front sight on it at all).  thoughts from those with 6.8s and merchants are welcome (and thanks).  Comments on MOA with the various barrels please.

I went with Denny`s 16 inch recon barrel.   JTAC has both the 16 and the 18 but to me the 6.8 was designed as a close quarters weapon so I went with the 16 from Denny`s it comes with a bolt.  My 12 inch forearm is a Daniels Defense.  The brake is MSTN and the mag is PRI.  Check Denny`s  out in
EE he has a range report.

Our's includes a bolt as well

Either way you'll be happy, Denny's is a nice barrel.

The profile on your barrels is a bit larger, correct?  (that's a good thing BTW)

Why is that?

Does that mean no SPR in 6.8?

Is there a fix for this issue?

Has to do with the pressure curve.  Thats why the 12 inch guns come with a carbine length gas system (usuallt).

In addition to the 16.5" mid-length gas system (lighter impulse), the lightest AR I have is a 6.8SPC MSTN build RECCE and its 5.56MM twin (DD FE, Douglas barrel). They are both sub-MOA gas guns. The only major changes from this picture is, a LaRue AGOG mount for the TA11E, LMT stock, GG&G bipod.  The LMT is my standardized stock for all my RECCEs, along with the GG&G bipod. I would like to see a Lilja 6.8 equivalent. Yes, I have one of those also in 5.56MM on a different set of twins.
