Gentlemen,

I require a flip-up front sight able to be mounted on a DD12 handguard rail. I've searched and I know one option is the Troy Industries folding front sight.

What other options are out there? Thanks in advance!

[edit] And while I'm asking, what suppliers carry the Troy folding front sight? Are these standard height or must it be used only with the Troy rear sights? I'd like to use one with an LMT rear sight.

MSTN has them. It is standard height, but why would you use it with a fixed rear?

I have a YHM-9627 that is hardly used. Will sell it for $50 shipped. If interested e-mail me from my post. Can supply pic if wanted.

Still kicking around my rear sight options, but I really like that the LMT is elevation adjustable, and an Aimpoint will eventually be used so folding isn't required for the rear.

I need the rail mounted front sight because the handguard is on a 16" barrel and there's not a lot of room left out front for a sight tower. I chose the 12" DD to provide a full-length sight radius (rather than carbine length) for the sake of my eyes and accuracy.

new-arguy, thanks for the point to KAC. I didn't know they made one, believe it or not.
