Hello all, Im pretty new to this forum and would like some advice for mounting a scope.  If it helps the scope is a Millet DMS 1-4x and the mount is an American Defense Recon Mount. Thanks!

Should I try to level the scope in the rings with the mount on the rifle or level the scope in the mount and then put the mount on the rifle? This is the first time I have ever done this and am looking for any kind of tips and tricks that may help.

Attach the mount on rifle first, then loosely mount the scope. First find the right amount of eye relief then level the cross-hairs and lock it down.

If you have a way to hold the rifle level like a rest or a vise, put a level on the flattop and get it level. Then use a level on the scope cap and level that. Or its not a precision long range optic, close enough is probably close enough.
