I have the strike eagle 1-6 and leupold 1-4 hog reticle and I am tryimg to decide which one to put on my 11.5 bcm and which one on my 16 bcm. I am leaning towards the strike eagle on the 11.5 due to it also acting like a red dot for close up. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

There are two different Leupold Hog scopes.  One is a 1.5-4x VX Hog.  It is not illuminated and has a 1" main tube. The other is the 1.25-4x VX-R Hog.  It has the illuminated motion activated FireDot and a 30mm main tube.

Even if you have the non illuminated Leupold, the glass is much better than the Chinese Strike Eagle.  However it does not go down to 1x.
