I'd like to add a scope with a purpose-built, .308 reticle to my Sig 716, and I like Nikon scopes.  Anyone care to share experiences with the Nikon P-308 4-12x40 scope with their BDC reticle?

Thanks!

I have been doing freelance PR work for Nikon for almost 8 years now and there probably isn't a scope I have not had on a rifle. The P-308 4-12x40 BDC 800 reticle is built around the  .308 WIN/7.62 NATO round with 168-grain HPBT match bullet at 2680 feet per second. That being said, Nikon's Spot On Ballistic Program will let you go in and enter whatever ammo you choose to use with this scope. My hunting .308's shoot 150 gr ammo better then 169's so I make the changes in Spot On to get slightly different distance for the BDC scope. Very easy to do.  The P-Series of scopes is built on the PROSTAFF platform and offers exceptional value for the price. At the end of the day remember all Nikon scopes are backed by Nikon's No Fault Policy. I hope you guy's will post range reports and pics of your P-308's.

Here is an example of what you can expect to see in Spot On.
