Im interested in getting a SureFire light either 95x or 96x haven' decided on that yet.

But my question is...how long of a tail switch do i need?

I plan on mounting the light on the right side of my LaRue 7.0
I am also right handed and would like the pressure pad on the right side of the VFG
So what length could i use without having excess

Does it also depend on which VFG i go with or are they all pretty similar.

Depending upon the location of the light and your vertical grip either a 5" or 6" lead will normally work best.  On a carbine, a 5" will usually do the trick but I still tend to recommend the 6" leads in the event you ever make changes.

The type of vertical grip you choose won't normally affect length.
