It was February 16th, 2001, at about 8:00pm that the very first round of .458 SOCOM ammo was fired through the 24" prototype upper at the Tromix shop.

So, Bill has a vision in Jan, 2001.  You blast ammo Feb, 2001.

Even with Big Ben... the Brits can't fuckin' tell time?

Quote from AA:
Alexander Arms is the originator of the large caliber AR15 style weapon concept.

January, 2001 - Bill Alexander had a vision.

After years of design, testing and development he combined the devastating firepower of his .50 caliber Beowulf cartridge with a masterfully engineered variation of the venerable AR-15 light assault rifle.

Happy Birthday TR and MW.

I started selling them to the public in March of 2001, long before AA had the 50 Beo available.

Yet Bill will still insist that he was first.  Don't worry, he'll tell you.

Who cares if the 458socom or the 50Beo was first? I am just excited that RRA is making the 458socom, it is always good to have competion between the big-bores.

We just need to perfect blowing shit up!!!!

Happy B-Day Tony!

Indeed, Happy Birthday to the proud pa-pas, Tony and Marty.  Little did they know of the beast they were awakening when they spawned this little temptress.

Oh and BTW, Happy Belated B-DAY.

Ok so they are still in buisness. Its just when I went to buy mine the website said "thanx for the memories" or something then I later could no longer get on it so I assumed they moved on or retired to other things.

Cool. Now that RRA is selling them maybe we can get some cheaper ammo? Maybe Hornady or similar will want in?

CorBon is already being asked why ammo prices went up, we didn't hear about that until we read it here ... as demand increases, more options become available.  Just hang in there ...
