Hi all, I am looking for any information on the Olympic Arms .40s&w upper conversion kit
I am really intrigued by the .40 S&W and am looking for any owner or user feedback/ recommendations. I recently got ahold of a few 16 rnd. IMI uzi .45 mags, this is what I was told was needed to feed Olympics' upper.
Thanks!

You have 3 choices for Olympic .40S&W.

1) IMI with welded on blocks
2) Drop in blocks using SIG/Glock/Beretta/Browning magazines
3) Olympic new lower system that allows one to use Glock .40S&W maagzines with last round open.

#3 works very well and is also available in the LRM M-169 in .40S&W.

Also, is there any advantages of the 16" over the 11.5"+4.5"FH? This was designed as a short range rifle anyway, would there be any accuracy issues with the shorter barrel? A2 or A3.......that is another question.

Thanks for reading and for the Feedback Guys!!

Even though some think President Bush was wrong, John Kerry still sucks!

Pistol rounds usually crap out about 8-10". Only thing to gain with 16" is more velocity if you load your own with a slower powder to keep the burn farther down the pipe. I got 45acp doing 1080 in a 10
' pipe with 230 lead so far. Not done much in the way 9mm testing.

You in Ohio, do the 10 or 11" thing. Bigger cool factor.

Don't know if they will work, might have to pinch the lips for proper feeding.
I'm using Uzi .41 AE mags, they hold 23 rounds and work like a charm:

I have the 16 inch barrel, and have no problem hitting a 6" plate at 100m.
Chronos out at just about 1300 fps with 155 grain Federal JHP.

I ended up getting olympics gl 40 it uses glock mags only and they work like a charm.
