Other than the $450 price/quality difference, what is the difference between an Accupoint at 2x and a Simmons Pro Diamond at 2x? FOV? Something else?

If I keep both eyes open while shooting the Simmons, isn't it BAC as well?

Don't get me wrong, I love my Accupoint...but ever since seeing the BAC demo on the Trijicon site, I'm just wondering how they claim to have "invented" BAC, when it looks like all you have to do is keep both eyes open when looking through ANY low powered scope?

The only battery powered reticles bright enough to accomplish BAC in full daylight at high noon on a clear day are the S&B flash dot and 3X Aimpoint dot combo. All other reticles are too dim.

You can do it indoors or in low light with less bright scopes but it wont be as bright as a BAC Trijicon.

PS: Highpowered scopes can be BAC capable too.

thanks for the replies...it pretty much confirms what I had thought. Among other things, what piqued my curiosity is that some ACOGS are BAC and some aren't.
