How hard is the buffer tube supposed to be, to untighten from the lower?
I was trying to take it off, using a 5/8 wrench at the end of the tube, and it made no attempt to pudge. I stopped an came to you all, so I don't end up doing something really wrong.

Pre-ban Colt lower. Do I need special tools? Will it break or bend.

Thanks to all for you help.

Ok.... Has anyone taken the a2 stock off, and replaced it with a carbine sliding stock??

If so... how much trouble was it to take off the buffer tube?

You want to turn the tube counter-clockwise.  The Colts are torqued pretty tight.  It will take some force to loosen it.  Leverage is key.

Ya, they're on there pretty tight. It helps to get one of those BIG bob marley screwdrivers. The real big/long screwdrivers will give you more leverage.
