What are you doing to chop them? How much can you shorten?
You cut a certain amount off of the outer part. Then you cut that same amount off of the inner part. Lastly, you have to remove enough threads from either as needed so that it screws down all the way.

This is the tricky part, I need to find another core because I cut mine a little to short. It locks in place put has a little play and it bothers me.

How dare you not get an approved clone pistol..... You could've chose a Sig P239..... Or heck, supposedly some have even used a G26........

Nice pistol. They are easy to shoot. I didn't seem to be all that accurate with the one I shot. I only shot one once though.

I was actually mad dogging a P239, G26, and G19 while I was there today. But yeah its not going to be super accurate cause its a sub compact (although a somewhat large sub compact) with a 3.1" bbl. But its minute of man, and if its still minute of man out to say 25 yds, that's all I could want from a sub C.

Oh, it is on! That is most definitely not clone correct! Boo this man!

Seriously though, the Shield 9 is a solid CCW sidearm. It’ll treat you well. I don’t have one as my “pocket 9” is a Kimber Solo, but we’ve got a lot of them in our carry pistol league. I’ve seen some of our better shooters do some amazing things with those little pistols.

Awesome man I appreciate the good words and the info. Will have to see how she shoots, and pick up a WML. My choices there are slim tho because no pic rail. Might end up having to go with the Streamlight that attaches to the trig guard.

@AZ_SBR when I walked in there I was actually wanting a Glock but they wanted ~$75 more than my budget allowed at the moment so I said fuck it, I will go with the Shield this time. Prob Glock next time.

Aaron- technically our CQBR's attached to pistol lowers are the CQBR's of the pistol world.

Zoom in and pay close attention to one of the cuts on the flash hider. It was cut from another image and they tried to edit out the slot, but did a very poor job.

Yep, and since that appears to be the exact same rifle (note the tag placement, VFG and panel and the particular spot of wear on the front of the RAS), I wouldn't trust it.

Funny thing is, when you zoom in on the high res image - even with the attempt at editing - it's still clearly a 10.3. I agree, same gun. If I were going to try and fake it, I'd at least make it convincing ;p.

Yea that pic is on page 2 of this thread. It looks longer than my 10.5 but not as long as my 11.5. Could just be the angle but that's not 10.3 in any case.

We may or may not be on the same page. I was referring to the finger about to touch a possibly hot muzzle device, and not his trigger finger.

Not the same rifle, the qr code on the upper is placed different. That MD isn't a M4QD either. But the real question is what are the copper looking rivets on the upper and lower? Could these be airsoft and we are all being bamboozled?

Not the same rifle, the qr code on the upper is placed different. That MD isn't a M4QD either. But the real question is what are the copper looking rivets on the upper and lower? Could these be airsoft and we are all being bamboozled?
Hmm.. Possibly a security thing? Like old school ink tags or magnetic strip things? Or for i.d. Like the qr? Idk?
edit- I feel like I've seen those copper things b4. Maybe for retrieval, like gps tracking?
Or it's edited in and I'm tryin to connect invisible dots.

I'm over here scouring images and lo and behold, I find a CompM2 with one on it.

I'll second the security/inventory device idea.

Ya the m2 has one. I believe it's pre qr codes.
Edit- m4! I called it! Just sayin.
Edit 2: nevermind. Jumped the gun

Yep I think it was an early experimental inventory system. Pre the current 3 QR code/data matrix designs used today

Yea, could be. It is an early CQBR upper on a M4A1 lower. The upper has a RIS not a RAS.

Same funky shit is going on with the muzzle device in the first image. Definitely edited as well.

I still think they are the same gun. The wear on the Wilcox mount is exactly the same, even the tension knob is in the same position. Same wear on the M2, same wear on the rail; the QR code on the upper is crooked on both, etc.

You can see where the shoulder would be on a 10.3" barrel. Bad 'shop.

Haha, I just won a Bizrate "sweepstakes". A Gmail notice popped up that I received a Paypal payment and I was like, "What the hell?" A big ol' $10 smackaroos, son. Why, that's a magazine and a half of steel case!
