Mine showed up today. Heads up that IWC sends it signature required. I hadn't opted for this nor had I seen it mentioned anywhere during the checkout process, but was glad I was home when the Postal worker came to the door.

I've seen some pics in one of the previous pages where you can kind of see UIDs on the upper. Anyone got a close up? Or are they all still engraved?

Also, speaking of the BRT insert, I got to test mine out in the desert yesterday and was very pleased with the results. The old .080 port in my Noveske 10.5" was an annoying bitch and still not to my liking even with an H3 and Sprinco Red; I'm happy to report that now with the .070 insert, an H3 and standard carbine spring it shoots almost exactly like my .070 CQBR. I ran Wolf WPA 55gr, Wolf WPA 62gr HP and some 5.56 Hornady Black SBR 75gr all with zero issues. The felt recoil and ejection pattern was almost an exact mirror of my DD 10.3 .070, so I'd say mission accomplished :D.

That's a nice mount. I may have to give that a look.

Outrider: That KAC CQBR is all kinds of sexy. A fancy GS Slim wouldn't hurt, though :D. Be warned, getting the rail section off to make the mount Scout compatible can be a real bitch without a heat gun or torch; they use a healthy dose of red Loctite on the screws. I twisted an allen key into a Twizzler trying to remove them cold, lol. But, about 15 seconds with a heat gun on high and they came right out. Other than the screws being a bit of a pain, I can't see any reason to use the old full size GS over the slim.

Dyzastr: Thanks... long wait was worth it I think. I definitely prefer it looks wise compared to the standard Gear Sector mounts, and being like half the weight doesn't hurt either :D.

A few more pictures from shooting yesterday.

CQBR in a steel case graveyard:

Gratuitous GS Slim mount shots:

Decided to throw a QD Stubby on the NQR Mod 0, but in the end I went back to the KAC ;p. Hopefully it'll have a Wilcox mount in a few days...

Of course, no photo dump of mine could be complete without some scenery :D.

And some more CQBR to cap things off:

A_Friendly_Manatee: Eek, AZ to MN, that's quite a change. I'm guessing shooting weather isn't for a while, lol.

DontBuryMe: Thanks. As far as the GS Slim Scout mounts, they actually never technically did come out. I'm not sure what the deal is with Gear Sector - I'm pretty sure ADM bought them out, because ADM now lists their products on their page - which would seem a strange thing to do if GS were a competitor. Anyway, none of the retailers seem to be getting restocks of GS products and the Scout specific slim mounts never made it to market; this despite being introduced at, what, SHOT 2015? However, all is not lost - the XSeries mounts are nothing more than Scout mounts with a rail section added at the factory. With a little finagling you can break loose the red Loctite and have a slim Scout mount. Which makes it even more bizarre the slim Scout mounts never were sold standalone, since they were clearly already being manufactured for the XSeries line. I can't imagine Scout mounts wouldn't be equally - if not more - popular than the XSeries and they obviously were producing them, so who knows.

The UE-SR07-TN is the one I'd go with, as the switch has on/off function in addition to momentary. Be aware some of the older UE tailcaps won't fit the new 500 lumen M300C, but OP has new production. Not sure if there are any current coupons, but 10% coupons are available very frequently for OP.

https://www.opticsplanet.com/surefire-replacement-rear-cap-assembly.html

The regular UE07 that includes an ST07 switch (momentary only) will also work, if you can find one in tan.

Lol something like that. In reality tho I use them because I am constantly banging shit around without meaning to. Considering how fugly it currently looks tho I might just remove them. Don't know why I'm even concerned with keeping it pristine since I told myself I won't be selling this one

Since technically I suppose there is no kosher mount for these, I just went with the Larue - but I admit that skinny GS looks nice.  Running the ST07 setup now but i have the SR switch setup on one of my other rifles and generally prefer it, so may make the change here as well...

I like how the M300's look in this mount better than the 6. One day ill have to snag an M300 and put this one on my parts bin CQBR (that's still on hold due to needing a crush washer)

Lol, that's the trouble with those damn things: you just never know where they are gonna end up ;p.

Yeah, I agree the 300s look better in offset mounts - a little more balanced looking. And that rascally crush washer, holding up your entire build :\. "My parts bin Ferrari is on hold." "Why is that?" "Missing a lug nut, man!"

I like how the M300's look in this mount better than the 6. One day ill have to snag an M300 and put  this one on my parts bin CQBR (that's still on hold due to needing a crush washer) sell this one to DBM.
I like that plan.
He already has the GS mount, he really has no choice at this point, right? :D

I feel like an M300 is going to be showing up in a Milspec x-ray any day now, lol.
I wish! I will have one someday tho. Idk if I could swing it right now. Its gonna have to be one of those hidden purchases. Cause I don't think "Hey wife, I'm gonna order this ~$250-$300 surefire light cause the one I have now is a little bit longer/dimmer" is going to work.

But when that day does come, I might sell the 6 to DBM. Might. I still like the 600 too though

I bought a thing. I don’t know why it took me so long. Spend $10k on clones, NBD. But for some reason a couple grand on a PVS-14 was always a tough pill for me to swallow. I shouldn’t have waited so long, can’t wait to get some range time in the dark with the CQBR!

Have several guns in the shop with Teardrop (A1) FA.  The round FA go out to on teams guns and that's what's left for us.

So.....in the world of cloning, is it desirable to use the Teardrop FA or round one?  I vaguely remember seeing it being made a big deal a couple of hundred pages ago, but I don't clearly recall.

For some reason, I felt compelled to try and track a few down.

14 months and 1 correction (+10 days at the end) later I brought the NT4 home today.  Children should not be able to grown faster than NFA paperwork comes back. . . .

It still needs a few changes to the lower receiver with selector and trigger.  I swear the lower started as factory annodized, but think the shop that did the engraving refinished it and maybe cerakoted it without me realizing they were going to do that.  It's going to get rattled at some point either way, so not a huge deal.

There are a couple T1s in there, but mostly T2s (easiest way to tell is the vertical adjustment knob has protection around it).

On the Mk18 Mod 0, Crane used some M16A1 lowers when they started.  Not really seen on guns with M4A1 lowers however.
