My gusset is tight to the lower, the hex bolt is incredibly tight, and the stock still has wobble.

Like I said....the H stock is craptastic. Mine always have shot loose. They say use Teflon tape....

I always pulled the stock the the rear, pushed the gusset forward and then tightened it down. And locktited it.

You put Locktite (blue/242, I presume?) on the tube threads, or the cross bolt that tightens the gusset? Or both?

I just keep tightening it every 6 months lol. There was no solution unless I put like pipe dope on it and tried to lock it on lol

I love the stock either way. It's the H

Rog. I'll probably give it a go sans any tape or 242 and then add teflon tape one layer at a time until I get a snug fit. I'll also 242 the crossbolt in the gusset once the stock isn't wobbly

I don't seem to swap bits around on rifles like some in the Mk 12 threads do, so I'm down to make things a little more semi-permanent.

Got the blem H&R M16A1 lower with the new Ace stock and ERGO grip put together last night.

Attachment Attached File

Just need some ARMS 22Ms (with the HaveBlue LS treatment) and the H upper. Will eventually put a G SSA FCG in there too, but probably wait for BF or a blem sale for the upper and SSA.

Thoroughbred Armament still the cheapest place for a 1:7 twist H upper in black or FDE? With their code it’s a bit under $1500 all in while PRI and Midway float around $1575+ with shipping.

Ah, cloning one of the recent sniper comp guns?

Kinda more like the one Shakespearewhip posted. But using the mk5 since they have been used on several mk12s. It fits this gun well. Worked perfect at the dmr match today.

Do you notice the weight? 26oz is def more. I kinda would like to try one. Idc if it's black, I'd want moa reticle anyways and I'm sure the tannos are mil/mil. I'd just paint the shit out of it lol.

I got to feel the gun after the match and the gun doesn't seem that heavy.

Very cool. Which DMR match did you shoot today? Which range was it at and what kind of target sizes/presentations/props did they have you guys using?

I’m in NoVA, but regularly drive to WV to shoot at PNTC and Shadow Hawk. Would happily add another WV range to the rotation if it’s not too far and the matches are fun/challenging.

Rosedale in Pittsburgh. It only goes out to about 300ish but some of the targets are very small. Was a great match, can't wait to go back.

Nice! That’s what I was thinking. Just bought a Atacr 4-16x42 to freshen up the mod 0 and was looking at mounts. Seems the 1.5” +-  mounts will be too tall for the 0, but the options for 1-1.2” one piece mounts are slim. I see spuhr and griffin. Not sure who else makes one

No one lol. Spuhr is the way though.

Edit: 1" is not high enough. 1.15-1.25 is perfect.

Not yet. We moved into a house so new TV and the Steiner T6Xi are priorities for paying off right now. I plan to eventually but it's kinda low on the list honestly. Hell i don't even have a RDS on my p10c, despite having the plate and everything ready for it.

Scope question:

Would a tanodized Leupold Mk4 LRT 3.5-10 Illuminated TMR be considered correct across the breadth of Mod H builds?

Midway has some again and I'm debating getting one. The base rifle would be FDE PRI Handguard, ACE stock, Sierra grip.

$1338 isn’t bad, but I’ve seen a few used ones sit on the EE at $1400 for days before they sold in the last year or 2.

I just don’t know how much demand there are for them.  AFAIK they were only on m110s and Mod Hs.

The peak in stock total I saw was 90.  They’ve been available since Wednesday and as of this post there’s 78 left.

Comparatively, the TS30s and black 2.5-10x40s they had the last few months sold about 50 (entire stock) in less than 24 hours.  TS30s were under $1k with codes, 2.5-10s were $1134 with code.

Again, not bad for $1338 but I’m gonna watch stock and see if they drop sub $1200.

They had a clearance sale a few years ago and I think they were going for about a grand.

Were these tanodized ones actually issued at some point, unlike the recent batch of 2.5-8 optics that had the ‘upgrades’ to the illumination housing and battery cap tether?

Same vein as I debate black or FDE for a Mod H upper, were FDE uppers actually issued?

No and yes.

Edit: Recce rail might have been an afterthought as pics show unpainted vs the painted ones that are being included.

I scored the m110 mk4 for $955.

Birthday discount was 25% and it stacked with the 15% coupon.  I guess my mod h will be further from being a complete and total bastard build now lol.
