I got some trigger time with this MRAD at an EXPO. I asked about the scope because I didn't know NF sold tanodized optics. He told me they were military contract only but it sounds like you can get one with a deployment kit?

At this point, I don't think NF is giving us tanodized ATACRs - we would have heard about it by now.
I saw a Classic Firearms vid of them at the Nightforce booth - no mention of it at all - only that they're "contract only." Bummer. |

There is definitely hope for sure - like I said before, NF told me they get 50-60 requests every single month about this.
If you look at their Instagram and Facebook stuff, people are constantly asking them about this in the comments. Whether or not they choose to do anything about it and really, WHEN they choose to do so - I doubt it's anytime soon. But it's obvious that all anyone cares about right now is when they're releasing tano ATACRs to the public - it's not like they've come out with anything new this year... |

The 14.5" barrel that's in stock isn't 100% correct. You need the one with the pinned gas block if that matters to you.

Last time I emailed their .mil/LE sales guy he was aware they’d sell like crazy. Said everything they are able to produce in tano is already obligated to govt contracts. Said he hoped sometime in 2022, but it’s not up to him.
He didn’t address my question about the ultramount. |

How are you guys attaching your slings at the front? I'm kind of wanting to get away from metal sling swivels and was considering putting a 550 cord loop directly on the Mk16 rail as a front attachment point, but would there be any negatives to this? I know there's a meme about "bendy bois" but I'm not sure if that's just internet crap or not. Usually I have just a MLOK sling attachment point but that's near the rear of the rail, not out at the front.

So yeah, i have been telling over a year the tano atacr will not happen anytime soon if ever. Probably when they run out of contract and have some left over. Years from now. Hope is a beautiful thing though. |
