Prior to G rails (or when they were an HRT only thing) the BU went from A frame /7” quad rail guns to Troy alpha rails. The original plan was to make all GOV issued guns 11.5” with 9” Troy Alpha rails. At the same time they brought back k the POW carbine program after a hiatus of several years. The new POW carbine was a 16” 6920 with an 11” Troy Alpha rails. After a couple years of Alpha rails, they dropped the Troy rails and started building all the GOV guns (both SWAT and general agent) and with the 10” MK4s. What does HRT use - HRT works on fight club rules so your guess is as good as mine. Remember it’s a big organization and nothing goes to waste so could some of the first SWAT teams to get Alpha rail guns gotten guns built with left over 10.5” barrels until the supply was exhausted ? Sure. It’s just like other parts and accessories, The BU recently switched from Troy BUIS to magpul MBUS PROs. At a certain point they stopped buying more Troys and started buying magpul’s but the Troy sights that were in stock were not thrown away etc they were just used to build or rebuild guns until they were exhausted and then they started using the magpuls. View Quote Great info! Does this mean that mbus pros are clone correct for odg gen 1 railed guns now? Any idea if they are moving away from the inforce lights to surefire across the board? Apologies if this was already answered before in the large thread. Thanks! |

So I have a colt fbi hrt upper/barrel with the FSB. I was going to have BRT install the .065" insert in a geiselle gas block, and "bomb proof" it, but they don't make the inserts anymore.
They suggested if I wanted to use the Geissele gas block and achieve the overall desired .067 gas block size, to get their .069 eztune gas tube. The other option is to just send the barrel to ADCO and have them do a shave and keep the original .070" I'm trying to get as close to clone as possible, what do you guys think is the better option? |

Moving in another direction, have my upper on the EE if anyone is interested. Also open to parting out if anyone is seeking the rail or other parts. Only thing not clone correct is the barrel (11.5 DD CHF barrel and DD GB).

First question as I gather parts for my build. Regarding a regional SWAT build , was the Sphur HRT mount ever seen on one of those or clone correct or is it strictly the DD mount?

I have a new 11.5” Colt “commando” barrel (clone correct for green rails, not sure about others) that’s never been drilled for an FSB.
If someone has an 11.5” Colt barrel with FSB that they don’t need and would like to have the above, send me an IM. |

But how is it detrimental for them to have this gun over what they had before? Manual of arms is the same and the training for either is the same. Hopefully they are getting some tactical training along with their firearms, but at most we’re talking maybe 8 hours of tactical training a year. Contrast that with SWAT, with a three week basic course, four training days a month, and additional advanced and/or specialty training opportunities. Give those to everyone fbi or not and sure leave the IR lasers for the people who actually have nvgs in their kits. Are they actually going to be issuing those to the regular agents who don't have nvgs? |

Still working on my clone, should be done soon. Going to try the Inforce for a bit but will likely replace it with a SureFire.

I’m trying to come up with a reasonable price before I list it, what’s its value? |
