Odd round found in XM855PD purchased from Miwall Ammo Corp.

Take a look at the picture, the round in the middle in the one in question. Has a 00 LC Stamp and the bullet profile doesn't match anything else in the lot. Other two are 02 and 03 LC Stamped.

Do I have some uber tactical bullet in there? Or just a piece of junk?

got any shots of the nose point on? Looks like a screwball to me.

I'm guessing that the lead core was underweight and when it was swaged in the point forming die, it just didn't have enough material to fit in completely.

ETA: or maybe it is missing the penetrator.

I found one exactly like that in the case that I have. I haven't pulled it yet to check for a pretzel.

But even if you bump fire it under water with a 1/87 twist rate (Let's say with a 21" barrel), will it still yaw and fragment in ballistic gel at 172 yards?

It will fragment if it is a left-hand twist. But the barrel must be a gov't profile 21.5". Oh, and it must also be a Colt.
