Just added this baby to my collection 3 days ago. As for the M4, it's an accessory for oakley sunglasses. Yeah it looks cool, but no way is it a replacment for the M16A4.

All I intend to add for right now is LMT BUIS and OKO red dot with protective sheild. It's a Bushmaster rifle for the record...

A 1:9 HBAR?  Or a 1:7 Government profile?

VariableBinary, you're too tough on carbines. They serve a purpose. I use mine indoors. I wouldn't want to use my Colt HBAR rifle indoors.

1:9 HBAR. I only shoot 55gr M193, sometimes SS109, so I dont need the 1:7 twist. I dont expect to hump 20 clicks with this thing strapped to my back, making the slight gain in weight a non-issue.

Not the original poster, I know, but BFI makes M16A2 clone uppers, 1/7 and all. Eagle Firearms could order you one and it might save you some money.

I already ordered a gov't profile upper from Bushmaster, as they were they the only place I found that was selling them. My upper is on backorder, and if I can find a another place that has them in stock or perhaps a place that sells them cheaper, I could always cancel my order with Bushmaster. What is this BFI place you mentioned?

Lol, Bushmaster Firearms Inc. Try Eagle Firearms, they might have it, although if you want 1/7 they may not stock it. Its usually special order.

That is funny...... I guess my wait will continue........

I never specified a 1/9 or 1/7 twist barrel on my gov't profile upper when I called Bushmaster. Should I just assume that its going to be 1/9 since they never mentioned it?

1:9 most likely, yes

Well here is my BM A2.  I added some web gear I had and added two pieces of head gear to the photo from my collection.

Ordered Mine from Eagle Firearms.  Bushmaster 20" A4 Govt. profile 1/7 chrome and A2 FH.  You have to email them, it's not on the website.  They said 2-3weeks.  It was $375 for the upper without Bolt carrier group/CH.  For that price, I don't mind waiting.

Stickman - very nice photograph.  Now I'm starting to yearn for a M16A1 clone...

I gotta stop hanging out here.

Stickman, once again you have a breautiful rifle.  An A1 clone is on my list for builds, so far I have a Colt SP1 barrel w/ a 3 prong FH on a Fulton Armory A1 receiver.  I am looking for some A1 furniture, where did you get yours.

Thanks

Thankyou, I picked up this SP-1 without even having magazine insertion marks in the magwell.

I think it looks best with the 20 round mags.

My gov't profile A4 upper from Bushmaster is costing me around 395 bucks and have no idea when it might come in. I'm going to call up Bushmaster and see how long this wait is going to be. it's its going to take more than 2-3 weeks, I might just cancel the order and get one from Eagle Arms.

Agreed...theyre way unappreciated. I dont have a digital camera so use you imagination. My best rifle has an A1 upper w/ brass hump and fluted/crowned 20" bbl. It began life as a BM AK....which I didnt like at all.

I think I fell behind somewhere in the arfcom lingo cause I have no idea what that means!

If I could add more text to my sigline, I'd add "....in addition to my other 6 AR's of various configurations!"

I love my M4gery, but the A4 holds a special place in my heart, as do all the 20" M16/AR variants.

Per ARFCOM doctrine, I own both:

Shoot. I've got copies of the M16, M16A1, XM177E2, M16A2, M4 and Canadian C7

Love 'em all! Shoot whatever catches my fancy when I head to the range.  This weekend it'll be the M4gery, the XM177 clone, and the C7. Next time--who knows.
