WOW! very sexy, I have a hard-on now for 9mm AR's.

Just a couple questions:

-Is that a real supressor or fake? If fake where did you buy it? A link or website would be great.

-What parts did you use? Upper?Barrel?Mag block?.........

Thanks

Na, the suppressor isn't real. I think that I got it from Gun&stuff.com, although I'm not sure, just type in "fake Suppressor" on your search engine and you will get plenty of sights.  I put the entire gun together from OLY parts, I live right down the street from the factory and I'm in the military so I get a great deal from them.  No mag block as of yet as I'm still thinking about that option.  Colt stock, sure gun light, RIS from Ultimate Weapons Systems, I replaced the DOT sight with a C- More, I will post those pic's latter tonight.  This thing is a total hoot to shoot.  I can pin hole 2" plates from a standing pos at 35 m one after the other.

Here it is with the new optic and a better pic, thought that this would add a bit of class to it over all.  Hope that you guys enjoy these, thanks again, Mark.  Oh ya, the fake can came from MFI out of CA.http://images.snapfish.com/33%3B6282323232%7Ffp63%3Dwp%3E2335%3D676%3D58%3A%3DXROQDF%3E23235%3B27%3B88%3C5wp1lsihttp://images.snapfish.com/33%3B6282323232%7Ffp63%3Dot%3E2335%3D676%3D58%3A%3DXROQDF%3E23235%3B27%3B88%3C5ot1lsi

I looked on MFI webpage.  Did you use the set screw option for mounting the fake? or do they make the proper adapter for an oly (which I think is 5/8x24 TPI)?

What I did was get the fake can with out the threads or insert and put it over the barrel.  I got the 16.5 pre ban barell and then just sliped it over the end and used the set screws to fix it in place.  If you want to use the threaded insert then the thread pattern is 5/8 x 24,  Mark.

What is the rate of fire on that upper and are you using a standard buffer?  Im looking at the oly upper and want a smooth controlable ROF for my M16.  Also, what light are you using on it?

Thanks

I'm using a standard CAR buffer, no problems.  It's just a semi so ROF isn't a issue.  Gun light is a 6AL Sure Fire, small and compact, but good and bright. get rid of those silly pressure switches, use just the thumb button on the back, nothing to tape down or hang up.

18BSOTTM, nice 9!  Hey I noticed you have a flat top upper, it's Olympic?  I can't find any flat top 9mm uppers on Olympic's website - where did you get it?  I really like your setup - I'm ready to get parts!!!    Hey I'm in Portland, OR, did you get your upper from a local shop?

I wrote oly yesterday in regards to when they will be offering 45acp mags over 10 rounds this was there response.

(As soon as we can get some Uzi mags to convert, they will be available, unfortunately the market is still in shock from the lapse of the assault weapons ban.)

I can forsee a 45acp AR in the near future....

You can buy hicap Uzi .45ACP mags and send them to Oly for a conversion.  Cost is $25 per magazines.

Olympic will make either A2 or A3.  Whoever orders, just needs to choose.
